Kate Villanova
Kate has been with Next Stop Broadway since its launch in 2016, where she’s guided hundreds of students to express their creativity and find their confidence as performers. Over the years she’s directed productions of Annie, The Lion King, Matilda, School of Rock, Vanished in Venice, Little Motown, and more!
Kate also teaches acting for the camera and scene study at Wingspan Arts Summer Conservatory, where many of her students go on to work professionally. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association, Kate has appeared in numerous plays, films, commercials, and television shows. Her recent TV credits include “WeCrashed”, “The Good Fight”, “FBI”, “Chicago Fire”, and “Blue Bloods”. Beyond the arts, she’s deeply involved in electoral politics, leading the field team at Knock for Democracy to help voters nationwide make their voices heard. Kate holds an MFA in acting from Rutgers University and a BA in psychology from Skidmore College. She lives in NYC with her husband and daughter.
